Arañuel, a neighboring municipality of Montanejos, less than 6 km from Apartamentos Campuebla, has prepared two types of guided tours for all audiences, for the afternoons of August 2025. One will be on Wednesdays, more urban, and the other on Fridays, more focused on nature.

The first route will be a tour that will combine history, heritage and nature to understand the deep relationship of Arañuel with water. It will begin in the Plaza Mayor, where you will learn about the origin and evolution of the town, its medieval urban structure and its link with the Mijares River since Muslim times. You will walk through old irrigation canals, laundries and mills, discovering how hydraulic ingenuity allowed the agricultural and economic development of the area. On the banks of the river, we will talk about the biodiversity of its riparian forest and the karst landscape that guarantees water even in times of drought. It is an ideal route for those who want to discover the history and landscape of Arañuel while walking through its most authentic corners.

On the other hand, the route that will take place on Fridays is a proposal designed to discover the most natural Arañuel in an entertaining and participatory way. In addition to an explanation to understand its history and heritage, with the help of didactic and dynamic material, such as replicas of footprints, feathers or traces of animals, you will learn to interpret the clues that animals leave in their environment. You will get to know species such as the otter, the badger, the fox, the stone marten and several native birds that inhabit the surroundings of the municipality of Arañuel, as well as some of the vegetation that we can find in their habitats. It will be a walk that combines the observation of the landscape with practical activities to get closer to the fauna in a fun way.
Both routes are designed for all types of public, but the second one could be more focused on a family audience.
