The III edition of MDM FEST: Entre las Cuerdas, the plucked string Festival of the Alto Mijares region, is held in Montan from July 26 to 28, 2019.

This year, they are taking a step forward and opening the stage not only to orchestras with established musicians and their pulse and plectrum director at the Alicante conservatory, but also to young guitar promises on the national scene, with recognition in the first and second prize of the José Tomás International Guitar Festival, of Petrer, and to artists cataloged as prodigies in the world of music and some other promise, who do not plan to reveal. And it raises the curtain for the opening of the festival, with all the energy of electric strings, with a rock band that conquers venues and needs no introduction: King of the Party.
These are three days of high voltage, with a musical proposal and stages as varied as the Convent of the Servitas, which dates from the 18th century, or the Frailes courtyard itself.
The Montán-Do Música project arose as a tribute to all those who unknowingly forged the musical history of Montán. Because popular folklore is ultimately the soul of a people.
